Delete your data
reLapse has no accounts, so there is no “your account” on a server anywhere — only what is on this device. You can erase that at any time, without asking me first, and without me needing to do anything on my end.
Option 1 — in the app (immediate)
- Open reLapse.
- Tap the gear icon in the top bar to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete all data.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
This happens straight away, on the device, with nothing to contact me about first — there is no account and no server-side record of you at all.
Option 2 — no longer have the app
Because there is no account, there is also nothing for me to look up or delete on your behalf remotely — I have no identifier, email or name to search for. If Option 1 is not available to you, uninstalling reLapse has the same effect: it takes the encrypted database and its key with it, and neither survives a reinstall.
If you would still like to reach me — to confirm this, or with a privacy question — email support@getrelapse.com.
What gets deleted
| Data | Where it lives | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Habits, log entries, notes, in-app settings | Encrypted database on your device | Erased immediately, along with the encryption key in the Keychain / Keystore |
| The unencrypted widget projection (habit name, icon, colour, count) | Shared app container on your device | Cleared immediately; placed widgets fall back to an empty state |
| Purchase receipt, tied to a random ID — never your name or email | RevenueCat | Kept under RevenueCat's own policy; it is what proves your purchase is genuine, so deleting it is not mine to do on request |
| Support correspondence | My mailbox | Deleted on request, otherwise within 12 months |
What I have to keep
My own bookkeeping — aggregate revenue and payout figures from Apple and Google — is retained for up to 10 years because German commercial and tax law requires it (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB). This is not a record of what you personally bought; I have no such record to begin with, let alone one containing habit names, entries, notes or timestamps of anything you tracked.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your data does not touch a subscription, on either platform — it belongs to your Apple ID or Google Play account, not to reLapse, and I have no way to cancel it for you. Do this yourself or the billing continues.
Inside the app, the same screen that deletes your data links straight to your store's own subscription settings if you are Pro. The direct links are also here:
Deleting your data does not entitle you to a refund of an already-paid period. Refunds go through Apple or Google — see Support.
Before you delete
There is no undo and no recovery. I cannot restore your habits afterwards even if you ask, because I never held a copy and the key is destroyed along with the database. If you might want the history later, take an encrypted backup first: Settings → Backup & restore → Back up now.
Other privacy rights
Erasure is one of several rights you have under the GDPR — access, correction, restriction, portability and objection are covered in the Privacy Policy. For any of them, write to support@getrelapse.com.
