Support

reLapse is made by one person in Berlin. Email support@getrelapse.com and you will get a reply from a human, usually within two working days.

Before you write: including your device model, OS version and the app version from Settings → About usually saves a round trip. Please do not send screenshots of habits you would rather keep private — I almost never need them to diagnose something.

Purchases

Restore a purchase

Open Settings → reLapse Pro → Restore purchases, on a device signed into the same Apple ID or Google Play account you bought with. There is no sign-in step of reLapse's own — the purchase is tied to that store account, not to a handset, so a new phone picks it up as soon as you restore.

Cancel a subscription

Cancellation happens in your store account, not in the app — neither I nor the app can cancel a billing agreement on your behalf.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, otherwise the next renewal is already in flight. Cancelling does not shorten the period you have paid for — Pro stays on until it runs out.

Refunds

Apple and Google are the merchants of record, so refunds go through them and I cannot issue one directly.

If a refund is refused and you believe you are entitled to one under EU consumer law, write to me and I will help you take it up with the store. Your statutory rights are set out in the Terms of Service.

Your data

Move to a new phone

  1. On the old device: Settings → Backup & restore → choose a passphrase → Back up now.
  2. Save the file somewhere you control — iCloud Drive, Google Drive, a laptop.
  3. On the new device: install reLapse, then Settings → Backup & restore → Restore from a backup, and enter the same passphrase.

The file is encrypted before it leaves the app, so wherever you put it, nobody there can read it. That includes me. If you lose the passphrase the backup cannot be opened by anyone — there is no reset.

Delete everything

Settings → Delete all data wipes the local database and its encryption key. There is no account to remove — reLapse does not have one. Full detail is on the data deletion page.

Widgets

One tap logs, on both platforms — Android also buzzes to confirm; on iOS the count changing is the confirmation, since a WidgetKit extension has no haptics API. Further taps in the next few seconds are ignored, so a fumbled tap cannot record the same slip twice, and anything logged by mistake can be deleted in the app.

Accessibility

reLapse follows the system settings for Reduce Transparency, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast and Dynamic Type. Turning on Reduce Transparency switches the glass surfaces to solid fills throughout. If something is hard to use with VoiceOver or TalkBack, please tell me — that is a bug and I will fix it.

Reporting a security issue

Email support@getrelapse.com with “Security” in the subject. Please give me a reasonable window to fix the issue before disclosing it publicly. I will credit you if you would like me to.
